The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Pick 'n' Roll: Today's best NBA bets

Dallas Mavericks at New Orleans Hornets (-4.5, 192.5)

Every good thing must come to an end. The Hornets had their undefeated streaked snapped by the Dallas Mavericks Monday night, but won’t have to wait long to avenge that 98-95 defeat.

Dallas is in New Orleans Wednesday in the second half of this home-and-home series. The Hornets have lost 14 of their last 15 road games to the Mavericks but have been better in the Big Easy, taking the last five home contests versus Dallas while going 4-1 against the spread.

A big problem Monday was the disappearance of star point guard Chris Paul. He scored 22 points in the game but failed to find the basket in crunch time, going scoreless in the final 20 minutes of the second half. Paul was also limited after picking up four personal fouls.

"You can't do nothing on the bench," Paul told the media. "That's my fault. I felt like the fouls were here or there, that's my fault. I can't expect the ref not to call it."

Bettors can expect a smarter effort from New Orleans Wednesday. The Hornets are still a perfect 5-0 ATS at home and have a 6-3-1 ATS mark in their last 10 head-to-head meetings with Dallas. On top of those promising numbers, the home team is 5-1-2 ATS in the last eight games between these Western rivals.

Pick: New Orleans

Phoenix Suns at Miami Heat (-8.5, 208)

Phoenix has relied on its outside play to top opponents this season but, with the Miami Heat up next, the Suns will be without their biggest edge for Wednesday’s battle in South Beach.

Phoenix lost starting center Robin Lopez for the next few weeks after the Stanford product sprained two ligaments in his left knee against the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday night. Lopez, who was scoring over five points and grabbing four rebounds per game, would have been key against a weak Miami interior that has struggled against opposing centers.

"We could play small, but the wiser course would be to try to reinforce what we can do with the (big men) and get another player in here who can help us," Suns President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby told the Arizona Republic. "We were considering doing this anyway."

Channing Frye started in place of Lopez against the Denver Nuggets Monday night. While Frye is a great perimeter threat that can stretch the defense, he’s not the physical presence in the paint Phoenix needs to exploit the Heat’s frontcourt.

The Suns were out-rebounded 52-43 and gave up 56 points in the paint to Denver, but managed to hang on for a 100-94 win as 2-point home favorites.

College Funds: Today's best NCAAB bets

Northwestern St. Demons at Memphis Tigers (N/A)

It may not have been pretty, but the Memphis Tigers survived a scare from the Miami Hurricanes the last time they took the floor.

Memphis was down by a bucket with less than two minutes to play, but freshman guard Chris Crawford hit a big trey down the stretch and the Tigers pulled out a 72-68 win. It wasn’t enough to get Tigers bettors a payday though with the club set as a 6.5-point favorite.

"The reason we were able to win was because of our defense," Memphis coach Josh Pastner told reporters. "We held them to low percentages and we made our free throws. Big 3 by Chris Crawford. He had missed a bunch, but I told him, 'Hey, keep shooting.' The guy is one of our best shooters and he made a big shot to give us a 1-point lead."

Still, Pastner can’t be happy with his club shooting only 33.9 percent from the floor and a terrible 18.2 percent from downtown. Sometimes a tough win like this is just what a team needs early in the season, but look for the Tigers to start slow after playing two games in 48 hours.

Northwestern St. was a handful for LSU and had a second-half lead before eventually losing 87-78.

Pick: Demons

Alcorn St. Braves at Purdue Boilermakers (N/A)

When senior forward Robbie Hummel went down with a season-ending knee injury earlier this month, the Boilermakers knew they’d need some guys to step up. Hummel was the club’s second-leading scorer and rebounder last season.

So far, seniors JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore seem up to the task. Moore booked 16 points and Johnson added 10 points, 12 boards and five blocks in Purdue’s 76-40 blowout of Howard on Sunday.

Without Hummel, the club has recommitted to defense and held Howard to just 24.6 percent shooting from the floor.

"I think us playing good team defense will help us win a lot of ball games," Moore told reporters. "We have a lot of players who played last year, so they kind of know what's going on the defensive end. We just have to keep putting it all together."

Wednesday’s game with Alcorn State marks the first ever meeting between the two clubs. The Demons were 2-29 last season and have lost their last nine games against ranked opponents.

This seems like a good opportunity for Purdue to get everything together.

Pick: Boilermakers

Ice picks: Today's best NHL bets

Phoenix Coyotes at Calgary Flames (-145, 5.5)

Jarome Iginla has long been the face of the Calgary Flames. The hard-working forward sets the tone for the franchise with his hustle and great two-way play.

However, that hasn’t translated into points for Iginla this season, leaving him with just 10 total points and a ton of criticism heading into Wednesday’s home tilt with the Coyotes.

"It's no secret my game hasn't been very good to start this year," Iginla told reporters.

Iginla leads the team with 49 shots but has scored only three goals this year, one coming in his most recent outing – a 4-3 loss to the San Jose Sharks. He is currently minus-6 on the season and has found himself on the bench in the closing minutes of tight games.

"You know what?" he said. "Last game, I went in trying to focus on some of the simpler things. Last game felt a lot more normal. I'll say it. So I'm going to build on that."

The Flames have won just once in their last seven games, including a 5-4 loss to Phoenix last Friday. Calgary is 1-3 in the past four head-to-head meetings with the Coyotes and Iginla has only one assist and a plus/minus rating of -3 during that span.

Pick: Phoenix

Vancouver Canucks at Pittsburgh Penguins (-135, 5.5)

The Vancouver Canucks knew they would have to fill the net if they wanted to come out on top of their current five-game road swing.

That anxious offense has produced, scoring 14 total goals in the past three games heading into the final game of the trip in Pittsburgh Wednesday night. It’s also pushed the final score over the total in those three contests, improving the Canucks to 6-4 over/under on the road.

Vancouver battled back from a 2-0 deficit against the Buffalo Sabres to force overtime, but lost 4-3 in the extra period Monday night – playing over the 5.5-goal total. The last time the Canucks and Penguins met, they topped the 5.5-goal number with a 6-2 Vancouver win on January 16.

Bettors' best friend: Wednesday's wagering tips

Lines to watch

Akron opened as a 13.5-point underdog at home to Miami (Ohio) but now sits at +10.

Weather to watch

Miami (Ohio) at Akron – Winds at 21 mph are expected with a 40 percent chance of precipitation.

Bowling Green at Toledo – Winds at 15 mph are expected with a 40 percent chance of precipitation.

Who’s hot

Boston Celtics have covered in four straight.

Minnesota Timberwolves have covered in five consecutive games.

The New Orleans Hornets still haven’t lost against the spread this year, taking a push in their first loss of the season against Dallas to sit at 8-0-1 ATS.

Who’s not

Miami Heat have dropped five straight against the spread.

Sacramento Kings have lost six straight against the number.

Buffalo Sabres have won four of five and 17 of their last 25 meetings with the Washington Capitals.

New York Islanders have lost 10 straight games.

Edmonton Oilers have lost the first five games of their current road trip.

Key stat

7.8 - the average yards per carry the Toledo Rockets gave up last week in a 65-30 loss to Northern Illinois, which rumbled for 422 yards on 54 carries. Luckily for Rockets bettors, Toledo faces a Bowling Green team that is only averaging 60 rushing yards per game on Wednesday.

Injury that shouldn’t be overlooked

Andre Iguodala (Achilles), Philadelphia 76ers – Iguodala played Sunday night, but couldn’t make it through Monday’s practice, leaving to receive treatment on his right Achilles. Iguodala didn’t play Tuesday night at Cleveland and is questionable for Wednesday’s game against Toronto. Philly’s small forward is averaging 12.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and five assists.

Game of the day

Dallas Mavericks at New Orleans Hornets

Notable quotable

“Hallelujah, boys, is that great or what? … How cool is that? Now, they could still turn it around and win out for all that matters, but you’re starting to see some of the problems. Any team with a strong, big guy that can score, they’re getting abused by. They just don’t have size to battle. They have the fewest points in the paint of any team and that’s tough.” – Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban on ESPN Radio talking about the Miami Heat’s struggles.

Notes and tips

Toledo heads into Wednesday’s game against Bowling Green with some serious problems at the center position. Both Ben Bojicic and Scott Lewis are banged up and coach Dave Clawson says he’s just hoping the pair are able to split time to get through Wednesday’s game. Toledo is down to just five offensive linemen right now and the Blades are set as 10-point favorites.

The Los Angeles Lakers are dangerously thin up front now that center Theo Ratliff is out for at least a month after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday. Andrew Bynum still isn’t ready to go and Lamar Odom is hurting too, so Pau Gasol will have to log a lot of minutes for the next while. The Lakers play their second game in as many nights on Wednesday when they visit Detroit after a date with the Bucks on Tuesday.

The New York Islanders play their first game under Jack Capuano on Wednesday after Scott Gordon was canned. The Islanders head into the matchup with the Tampa Bay Lightning having lost 10 straight games. Capuano is preaching that his club has to “put the past behind” them and considering their record, that’s understandable.

Wednesday's winner...
500-Unit NBA Early Season Slam Dunk - NEW ORLEANS HORNETS

New Orleans gets an immediate shot at revenge when the Mavericks visit the Hornets for the second game of this home-and-home series. I’ll lay the points and play the Hornets tonight as they will finish the job they should have finished on Monday.

The Hornets suffered their first loss of the season on Monday when Dallas scored a 98-95 win, using a 21-8 run down the stretch to overcome a 10-point deficit and with their fourth straight game. Jason Kidd had three 3-pointers and Dirk Nowitzki had eight points down the stretch to give the Mavs the win.

New Orleans has won six straight against Dallas in the Big Easy and they are anxious to get another shot at the Mavericks. At home against Dallas, the Hornets have shot 50.8 percent and average 108.5 points per game in the last six contests, winning the last four by double-digits. Chris Paul usually has a monster game when the Mavs come calling, averaging 28.7 points and 10.8 assists in the six home contests.

In this series, the home team is on a 5-1-2 ATS streak and the Hornets are 4-0 ATS in New Orleans. The Hornets come in on ATS surges of 10-0-1 overall, 7-0-1 against the Western Conference, 6-0 at home and 3-0-1 after a day off.

Let’s go ahead and lay the points and look for New Orleans to shoot the ball well and pull away for a 10-point win at least.
